I think there are, such as "Once a cheater, always a cheater", or people who are accused of acting in any way that they used to, even though they've turned their lives around. It's hard to break bad habits, but it seems like when people finally do so, they are still accused of them...is that what you mean?

Yeah, I've often heard the rumor that Richard Gere once had to go to an emergency room to get a gerbil taken out of his butt. I once saw an interview in which he denied this happened. I really wonder how the rumor was started, though.
