Well, you can spend them, or save them as collectibles. It's all up to the person who has them. The Presidential Dollar Coin Program is a series of coins honoring deceased ex-US presidents, and in my opinion, they are very collectible and educational. My advice is to keep a few nice uncirculated specimens for each president besides spending them.

I throw them in the ashtray of my car, then when it gets full, I throw it into a bank that looks like a traffic light. For some reason I've never filled it all the way up, but I can tell you a little under half way, is $34.00. LOL

I keep one to use as a "marker" on a golf green. Otherwise, I put 'em in a stripper's panty just to see the look on her face! Of course, watching her try to remove it is fun, too.

Toss them in a small bowl in my drawer. When I get enough I roll them up and deposit them in the ol' bank account.
