Yeah this is a serious problem which indians are not trying much to improve.

Every win is a national festival and often the players are worshipped as gods. A loss, on the other hand, is a national disaster.

Well..this is not a good sign, have you heard of COW STORY which is not created by me but u may read it below which i rcvd actually from one of my indian friend.

First of all they should understand who is who, what this story tells is that indians has most number of gods then any one in the world. They treat sachin as god, Oh really! If he is actually god of cricket then 16 years from the day he joined to the cricket, india shud have won every matches they played coz isn't god do what he wants to & what he wish to do which means that india shud have won 3 WORLD CUP apart from 1983 which wud bring the total of 4 WC coz sachin already played 3 WC series. All you know its pity that he got out cheaply in 2003 finals.

Pls i request all of you to distinguish the difference between god & human. And this is might be one of the major factor behind every loss of indian cricket team and not to mention that they have the strongest batting line up in the world.

I am sorry if i hurt any of you. But i do hope that u wont deny what i am saying.

It is because the local news papers always telling that Indian players are the best in the World even in adversities. Apart from that before a player takes the crease the commentator put all type of adjectives and prise that he will see that the match is won. Since these people keep the cricket fans under FOOL PARADICE it is happening.

This happens because Cricket is not just a sport in India, its a religion. And the cricketers are worshipped. Indians cannot accept that they can be beaten.
Generally its also a perception that they perform much below their potential and dont take their job seriously devoting a lot of time to endorsements and other activities not related to the Game.

This is a common thing in all parts of the world .If you look at a sport like football which is popular worldwide & observe the spectator reactions when their team is beaten is very violent.

Here in India cricket is the most popular sport & the media to obtain higher viewer attention hype the game a lot which builds a high expectation level, hence the reaction.

Let us take an example like when we win a match on "every" news channel they praise the experience and forget the youth and when they loose a match they curse the youth inspite of them performing well and the whole blame goes to the coach.

The very fact you say "some Indians" mean that it is a small sample. Hence their behaviour must be attributed to "aberration".
