Aluminum foil is not a good idea if you are cooking acidic food because it eats through the aluminum and can cause you to ingest aluminum. Aluminum sulfate is the ingredient in baking powder but some research has shown a correlation between Alzheimer's and aluminum, so it is unclear as to whether one should ingest aluminum foil.

Space heaters are in general dangerous because they cause fires. There are a variety of space heaters and with some it would be okay but unusual to heat food upon them. With others it may depend on the fuel used in the heater. You could probably discuss this with a knowledgable camping store employee.

Of course you CAN NOT heat food or anything else on a space heater. That is a accident waiting to happen not to mention what the consequences may be for engaging in such behavior.

Aluminum foil is fine to cook with. It is really great in holding the heat and moisture in.

Baking on Aluminum foil is just fine, not risk of radiation at all. But no, you cannot heat food on a space heater. That's just stupid dangerous. Just about every thrift store in America is overflowing with toaster ovens. You can get them cheap if you keep looking. Plug it in before you buy it though!

As these aren't designed for this purpose, it is not recommended. It could tip over. By placing a container over the grills, you will likely raise the internal temperature of the heater and cause its insulation to melt. It could end in a fire. With food smells, it may attract the unwanted attneion of your pets.

Someone suggested a toaster oven - a good choice for this purpose.
