Crackers. Keep dry dull tasteless crackers around. I eat saltine crackers and soup crackers (the little round crackers) around the house and eat them like candy. Soaks up the acid in your stomach.
Plain bread will do this too. Of course there are those pills and wonder drugs out there, but this works for me!

I eat dry plain toast to absorb the acid and help settle the stomach.

my naturopathic doc told me to take Papaya Emzymes and Acidolpulus (sp?) both are chewables...
