My G parents lived at 7, St Johns Square Leeds, in 1942.
Their names were James Mcmullen & Mary Ellen Mcmullen.
Need to know if any one else resided at this address at that time.
also need to know whereabouts St Johns Square is. as i am searching my family tree. Hope you can help me. Anne Gladman

I've actually tried really hard to find something for you, but the only 'St. John's' Im finding is a church, which is the one on Park Row. Perhaps St John's Square was nearby to that?
I hope you find what you're looking for, sorry I couldn't be more help!

You need to make enquiries at West Yorkshire Archives at:-
http://www.leeds.gov.uk/page.aspx?egmsIdentifier=E89850F01EC2528D80256E1B003A63E1
They should have copies of the old electoral rolls, street maps etc. That page specifically has a link 'tracing your family tree' Best of luck!
(Glad to note from the first answer that the British Empire still exists!)
