It is about all those things son.. these all should be accomplished at some point in your life.
-you should travel spiratically and continually experience new places and things.
-in the meantime, you should be spending time with family and friends.
-once your out of college and have made a base of friends, you should concentrate on your career and finance as well as maintain relationships with freidns on the weekends.
-lets take it back a step thouhg, 18-25 is a great time to sky dive and bungi-jump before you settle down and realize how crazy it may be after all.
-Its about learning and watching the universe change, i recommend visiting all the different lands you can, from alaska to africa, from south america to europe.
-and of course, once you find someone you deeply love, do all these tihngs with them, its not as much fun to do it all on your own, experiencing life with someone else is twice as great!
-to conclude your lifetime can be measured by how many memories you have of all the above, family, friends, moments, places and feelings.. the more the better..

I can't define my life until it's come to an end at which point I will hope that my relationships were full of love and joy. I am seeing now that without healthy, joyous, meaningful relationships in my life the rest ie:travelling, success, thrill seeking, career and so on don't seem to matter much. True friends and family is what matters most. (family does not have to be your blood relatives either? ) :-)

I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.
It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.
It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."
It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.
This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.
Love and blessings

Life is what you make it...no matter what you decide to do with it.
I can't say for sure I've had a full life yet since I'm no where near death. I can say I have accomplished quite a bit, have a wonderful little boy, I have traveled to many places across the world, have a loving family. I hate my job though...but, that's about to change because I "make my life."

It's for us to live! It's about each individual deciding what they want out of life and then working towards achieving their goal. Every personality is different and whilst some people might be content to raise a family and have a stable life, others may want to explore the world and live a life of adventure. Some may want to do both! What do YOU want? Oh, and you can always change your mind.

Life is where you live it, here in America or in China or wherever you want to learn all there is to learn about life. Life here in America, in Orange County, in Cypress, Garden Grove, Anaheim, Placentia is this: Life is about respecting police, children, puppies, cats, young women and young men and old men and women. Here is the thing: Being in prison is a different sense of life, being out here is the way life should be. Life is what you make it, you break it by doing what life doesn't regard as life, but whatever.....so, here, life, whats it all about? Life is all about being able to ride on the public bus, life is being able to take a walk through the city park, life is being able to go into the supermarket and buy anything that tickles your fancy, life is when a dog bites me and I smile and ask that dog if he feels better now that he or she bit me, whatever kind of dog it happened to be, and life is me geing able to shake donald trumps hand and being able to ask him why he doesn't take a few million dollars to help the homeless and hungry here in our homeland and hometown homeboy, and finally, life is what you make it, you make it bad for others and the cops just might have to call s.w.a.t. in, then life will be all about you better come out with your hands up or else life just might be over.

It's about eating, sleeping and working and somewhere in between all of that we can only hope to fit the fun stuff. Like love, bungie jumping and anything else your heart desires.

Leonardjo has offered us an enticing question.
I suggest the answers will vary with the readers sex, age, financial situation, home influence, life experience and marital status.
The simplest answer would be:
A good life should consist of :
Something to do
Someone to love
Something to hope for

Life is not about anything. Life is.
Meaning is not to be taken from life. Meaning is to be given to the experience of living.
Awareness is the true gift. Awareness is the beginning of meaning.
We are aware that there is life other than our own. We are aware of the experience of others, of their suffering and happiness. It is from this point that meaning should be constructed.
People construct meaning in different ways. At the bare minimum, the meaning we extract should require us to respect happiness and lessen suffering.
