if u just started the pills the hormones can make u put on some weight and increase ur bust. the placebo pills dont have anything in them so u dont have to take them, they are there for a reminder to keep you on track with taking ur pills everyday. the reason u get your peroid is because the supplement hormone that is in pills isnt in your system and ur body sees the drop in the particular hormone in the pills and triggers the shedding of your uterine lining which is your peroid. but u definitely shouldnt have started a new pack before it was due! u can mess up ur hormone balance that way.

Yes you can. Your gynecologist should know you are doing this, however. There are some doctors that might not approve, but my personal experience with my patients who do this for anything from weddings to running marathons is that it is safe and effective (especially given the fact that there are three month pill packs and seasonale patches on the market that do the same thing). When you get to the end of your pack, simply start the next pack and skip your placebo pills. At the end of the second pack you would take the placebo pills the same way, starting a third pack the Sunday after you start your next period. Some women report that their "late" period is heavier or lighter and may take a month or two to normalize - and you may or may not have some spotting for a day or two between packs 1 and 2 because if the decrease and increase in estrogen levels in the pills as you skip the placebo. It is safe to miss a period or two. If you have any concerns and do not want to become pregnant, it would be best to use a condom as well as you transition from one pack to the next. Hope this helps!

The placebo pills don't have any medicine in them, they just remind you to take the pill every day. They don't "Make" you get your period. If you don't want to be on your period, start the new pack a week earlier, then take the placebo pills from your old pack the next week. You'll go 4 weeks with no period, 1 week with, 2 weeks without, one week with, and then you'll be back on track. I used to do that if I didn't want to be on my period for camping trips.

I used to skip my placebos but only jumped into a new pack once. The end result was me bleeding like a stuck pig for two weeks. Not worth it if you ask me. If you were to try the Depo-Provera shot, you won't get a period AT ALL~~at least I didn't. But it can make you gain weight and I felt like a crazy woman on it. Thank God for vasectomies, because this birth control mess was too much.

I never take my sugar pill. I just start my next pack on the day i am supposed to start my new pack. Skipping your period is fine...just going to be 1 week short in pill if you do not renew your prescription before they end.
Just make sure that you at least have a period every 3-6 months.

I've never heard of those symptoms when skipping the placebo pills. That should have just made you skip your period and those symptoms altogether. If your period has always been regular maybe it's just your body's reaction to completely skipping it. Or, you could be pregnant...

The info you have is correct. You do not have to take the placebo pills, you can skip them & start a new pack to prevent yourself from starting your period.

A lot of women will do this. If you didn't "skip" any pills just went right into a new pack rather than take the last "period" pills you should be fine. My doc told me it would be ok to do if needed for my wedding. You should be fine, if your that worried take a test but I bet it will be neg.

I always thought placebos were water or something that had no effect, used mainly in testing things like the effectiveness of a new drug. Well, you live and learn.

You should be fine. Go ahead and take the pack as you usually would.. have the next coming period.
The thing that concerns me is the breast growth... but then again I don't know your age, health, etc. Are they tender? or sore? If not I don't know that I'd really worry about it... but if it really concerns you a lot... see your doctor.
