Once we know what consciousness is, we might come closer to an answer.

We know what brain chemistry comes into play when experiencing certain events, and even what precipitates those feelings, etc.

Neuroanatomy and neurochemistry have made amazing strides, but so far we can only see activity taking place in the brain. We even know how much and where it is taking place, but that still leaves a lot of questions of a more philosophical nature unanswered.

I wish I knew that one actually ~ sometimes I think that mine must exceed all known laws of physics.

Nobody even knows what consciousness is, much how fast it flows, if it flows at all.
