What kind of fish are you looking for?
If you're looking for various fish, try http://www.liveaquaria.com or http://www.aquabid.com .
If you're looking for a specific breed like discus or bettas, then you could google "Ohio Betta Breeder" (or whatever).

I just saw you are in Texas. I cant' name any specific clubs, but I'm sure there are many aquarists society in Texas. Most of them host auctions at which you can find lovely fish at a good price, and really awesome fish frequently go up for sale by other hobbiests. They tend to be cheaper, healthier, and nicer than anything you can buy from a store.

There is a list of some Texas fish clubs :) Or any specialized fish stores in your area might be able to help you find some, too.

I want to support the idea of local aquarium clubs. There are quite a few in Texas so odds are good you are within a reasonable drive to one or more. Often members have fish for sale from their breeding efforts. Google Texas aquarium clubs or something similar and you can probably find contact information without any problem.

Not that the other ideas are bad, it's just nice to be able to see what you are buying before you buy and to be able to talk to the breeder for all the needed infomation.
