While in the U.S. I married a black american and have a daughter but the marriage dissolved and I returned to India with my 3 year old daughter and have gotten married again. My daughter when she reached her 19th year decided to go back to U.S. Now it's time for her marriage but we are not able to find any broad minded Indian guy what should we do? Being half black and half Indian is making the situation more confusing. What is the salvation to our situation. Kindly advise us. Thank you

More Then likely a black man will like her. In want her, The black race I notice That they are willing to except people for who they are. And as mother to mother don't you think 19th is a bit young to marry. Don't you want your daughter to have the freedoms that were allowed in the U.S . For one to make your own choices who your going to marry, and when. She young let her be a teenager in a young women, of her choices. Don't pres-her your daughter into something she may not want to do. She might being saying yes to you because she scared and maybe she saying yes too because of your believes and religious believes and that's not good. As mother to mother let your daughter be free to make her own choices its 2007, in the USA

How about letting your daughter marry whom ever she falls in love with?

I have an Indian friend and his marriage was arranged. He had to learn to love his wife, but it was difficult. Why be with someone you have to LEARN to love.
