I have a Salisbury bone china plate, pattern name "Spring" in excellent condition but, despite searching on the Internet and Ebay, I can find no mention of this design from Salisbury china. My next step is to have it professionally valued by an auction house but this will cost money - can you advise me where I might find out some information on this (apparently) rare piece of china from a well-known factory. P.S. I don't think Salisbury China factory still exists, so I can't ask them!
All answers gratefully received.

Try putting it into the search engine on the Replacements.com or if you are in the UK china search website. They specialize in hard to find manufacturers and patterns. They maintain an inventory of thousands of replacement china pieces, servers, etc. and you can find out what they are charging for the pieces you have to get a retail estimate.

In my local Library, there's a couple of books about antiques and all. Written by a women who's on the telly, it shows a vast range of stuff like china, with illustrations and values, etc

Check it out.

Replacements.com has thousands of patterns, as do a few other companies. Google it.
