I just read an article stating that Anna Nicole's mother Vergie Arthur was in the Bahamas trying to locate her granddaughter. This is the same woman who also indicated after Daniel's death that Anna better be careful, she could be next. She said for her to not trust those around her. However, Howard Stern made the following comment on her mother's arrival in the Bahamas, ""Anna despised that woman. As long as I have breath in my body, that woman will not see Dannielynn."
What is the deal here? Do you have any opinions on this?

Howard Stern has no right or any business disrespecting Daniel's grandmother like that. He's a shady character and I am sure there are people waiting to expose this buster for what and who he truly is. If Anna felt so bitter towards her mother then it's her right to say that not him. Legally that's Anna's family and if her family has been trying to reach out to her for years then that says Howard's had a huge influence on her to the point he's isolated her from those who kept telling her to watch herself. I wonder what the California Bar Association thinks of this him revealing he was personally involved with her which can get him suspended or even disbarred for gross misconduct. I also think that Howard was involved with her son Daniel's death too and I am sure that he'll be at the coroner's inquest to save his face, but if he's so hesitant to prove he's Dannielynn's father they need to test all the men in question and then announce who's the real father and that the baby needs to be raised by that father not some money and power hungry lawyer who's taken advantage of his client.

I think it is truly tragic. Her mom is an opportunistic leech trying to get her hands on the money. She made no attempt to see the baby before Anna Nicole died and hasn't had anything good to say about her daughter. And while Howard Stern may not have been the greatest guy in the world. I do think that he had her best interest at heart and she trusted him.

I think that baby is her own flesh & blood, and she is ENTITLED to keep her safe until the TRUE paternity is established.
I also believe that Larry Birkhead is the REAL father of that child, and that his motives are sincere. He seemed to have genuinely loved Anna Nicole, despite her many problems. I think he has his daughter's best interests at heart. I think he would be a devoted, dutiful father - and would NOT alienate the baby from the family Anna Nicole turned away from. Little Dannielyn DESERVES to know her biological extended family, and I think Birkhead, alone, would respect that right!

Anna had her differences with her mother, that is too bad. That doesn't mean that the grandmother loves the baby any less. Also, maybe her mother had feared for her daughter's life. Stating that she needs to be careful or she might be next doesn't mean that mom was plotting, maybe it just means she was worried. Which in this case was right.

I think that as awful a person as she may be, people can change, and that with all the court action, this may be the last time she might have a chance to see her grandchild. Will it kill him to let her see the baby? Anna doesn't care anymore, she's gone. why not play "good guy" at least for a minute. It can only help him in his court situation

Considering how she didn't do such a hot job of raising the daughter, I hope Ann Nicole's estate is fighting the idea of her raising the granddaughter. Wouldn't want that to happen again.

i had heard that Anna and her mother did not get along and that they were estranged. i think the last thing she would want is to have her daughter with that woman. i think they better find the baby's father and soon. She needs to be with her parent.
Not sure why they were estranged. i think its great of her to be worried for her grand daughter but she may only be doing it for the money too.

I think its kind of shady that her mom is wanting the baby but she didnt want anything to do with anna nicole smith until she was famous and she wanted to ask for money when anna was alive she wasnt trying to get close to the baby i dont like people like that that women is a shady women. what goes around comes around....

Maybe the mom saw that her daughter and grandson, both who she loved in her own way, have already been taken away from her so she is trying to get to know her granddaughter before she herself passes on or something happens to her granddaughter that prevents her from getting to know her. She just wants to get to know her newest relative.
