by lost power was it engine of electrical power?
did engine stall and if so did it restart within a few minutes?

Would it start back up?
Did you hear anything odd when it died?
Does the engine turn over?

There could be a number of things. 200 posibilities
Out of oil.
Broken timing belt.
Fuel pump.
Ignition problems.
Broken connecting rod.

it could be a weak fuel pump,clogged fuel filter or exhaust system, worn out spark plugs, dirty mass air flow sensor. too much engine or transmission fluids
