my bf and i tried to have sex for the first time two days ago, but we had a big problem... he gets hard during foreplay, but as soon as he puts a condom on., he goes soft again, meaning he can't penetrate.. he said the condom stops blood flow so he looses his erection. can this happen? i suggested i wear a diaphram. i have never used one before.. where can i buy one and is it effective and how do i put it on? help, i feel so bad for my Boyfriend cuz i got my orgasm from foreplay and he didn't! what could be wrong??

To blame the condom for cutting the blood supply may be a bit farfetched.

I suggest you consult your doctor as there may be an underlying psychological block that may be easily resolved by simple measures.

Best Wishes.

I don't think his problem has anything to do with blood flow - he probably just doesn't like using condoms. A diaphragm is safe, but isn't suitable for everyone. See your doctor or family planning clinic for advice and information. Good luck!

Performance anxiety! The cycle goes like this...he starts off nervous, when he loses it that confirms his worst fear. He starts worrying about the next time which buiilds the anxiety, which makes it happen again. Usually you just need to get past the first time and everything will be fine.

A condom doesn't cut off blood flow, he is nervous or has some kind of problem. Does he masturbate much, you both need to find out what is happening..

could be any one of a number of things
a) condom too small
b) penis too big
c) stage fright
d)sexual performance anxiety
e) feeling pressured or rushed
f) lack of experience
and on and on

tell him to relax
keep him naked
play with him until he comes
repeat several times
then buy some larger condoms
put them on his penis
and see if things improve.
I bet they will once he learns to take it one step at a time and gets really comfortable with being nude and all around you with you in control

maybe he isnt attracted to you, if he isnt then he could lose the errection immediately, trust me....but if he is attracted to you then there are other problems that need to be looked into by a doctor maybe. either that or he is just nervous about the situation, especiatlly with it being the first time and all so just give it time
