i have a nokia 6133. i bought a 1gb micro SD in hopes of putting music from my (compaq) laptop onto the card and then putting the card in my phone. i then had to buy a card reader (IOGEAR) for my laptop. i put the reader into my USB port, and then i tried to open the drive (:F), but i get this I/O device error message. Is there anything i can do? Thanks

Have you tried formatting the SD card?

Some external card readers have driver issues and they wont install the full software. Click your device manager Right click on my Computer > Properties > hardware > Device Manager. And then see if you have any yellow exclamation marks... if there is then you are having driver conflicts.. also try a different port to see if maybe the port you are using is not defective. Do you have USB 2.0 or 1.1?

precise SD and micro SD ought to all artwork high-quality (providing you've the mSD adapter). notwithstanding some card readers are a touch fussy with SDHCs, i have had a minimum of two circumstances even as the computer purely did not recognize an SDHC card, to my wide inflammation.

Windows will not read the card until a partition has been set up on it. Then you must format it. The problem here is that unless your phone will also read this same formatting, you are not going to be able to get the music to play.
