Only in the halls of Republican headquarters. I think he is a coward and an idiot. Now let me cover coward first. During 9/11 when our country needed a leader and he was in Air force One he would not communicate for fear that someone might be able to get a fix on him and blow him out of the sky. So Cheney had to make the decisions. Now for the idiot part. Oh where to begin. 1.I think that I will start with starting a war with a country when all annalist said that it was a bad idea. 2. Not finishing the first war in Afghanistan before spreading our troops so thin that the ones that have served the time that they were told they would have to stay in was up and then extended without notice. 3.Have you heard this guy talk when there is no prepared speech. I can speak more articulate in public then this guy and I'm a construction worker. I don't have time to keep this up. There are going to be books from both sides and some of you reading this are going to think he was great but I'm not one of them. Just be happy we live in a country where you don't have to fear if you criticize the government.

I wouldn't compare him to Gandhi or MLK, Jr and I don't think as much of Mandela as many do, but I do think that history will show Bush in a much better light than he is being portrayed now.

Not at all, and here's why:

The three men you mention suffered and fought for freedom in THEIR OWN countries.

Bush, on the other hand, fights his wars abroad, uninvited, and unwelcome. That's not called "great freedom fighter", it's something more akin to terrorist or agressor or tyrant, but not "great freedom fighter".

Well, let's see; Mandela, Gandhi, MLK - number of murders committed" - NONE

Bush: murdered at least 3300 American troops and uncounted thousands of Iraqis

Mr. Bush is, without a doubt, the worst man that ever held the office - worse than Nixon. At least Nixon didn't kill anybody.

You can't even group Bush in the same catagory as those fine leaders you have mentioned..... and it is an insult to these leaders even try to compare Bush to them...

and to Leafygreens and strike_eagle, grow up and quit playing on the computer (same goes for the asker of this question)

I don't think that Bush's name should be in the same frickin sentence as those great peaceful and strong men. Nelson Mandela was in prison for years fighting for his freedom from apartheid. GW couldn't even report for National Guard Duty what a load of crap

No. I think George W. Bush will be viewed in the same league as Adolf Hitler, Richard Nixon, Josef Stalin, and Pol Pot.

If they were all in a room together, Mandela, Ghandi, and MLK,Jr would give up non-violence. For a few minutes.

If he's regarded as a "freedom fighter" then why are we Americans losing more and more of our freedoms and rights on a daily basis? We think we're the freest nation on earth but are actually number 17! "Big Government" does not equal freedom! Don't get me wrong...... - I am not against Bush, in fact I voted for him; I just don't regard him as a "Freedom Fighter".
