Around here it's at least $20/hr. for a service. If you find an individual to do it, you can probably get it a little cheaper. Thorough cleaning is more expensive, probably $150 for a 2,000 sq. ft. house. That's more the scrubbing, vacuuming, inside windows, dusting and bathrooms. Get several quotes. Most don't do laundry bc there is not time to do all that. Some will do a few dishes in the sink. They'll want to know how many animals you have (hair etc.) and they'll make a visit before making a quotation. Some people are easier to clean for than others. Clutter makes it a hassle.

One thing I found out, even if you think you have "hidden" your valuables, they can be found. I had my Grandma's wedding ring ripped off and a gold bracelet stolen out of my home by housekeepers and I didn't find out til it was too late. When I moved, the valuables were not in the jewelry box that I thought were hidden under boxes in the closet. People can be very industrious if they want to find things. Also, keep your file cabinets locked and your computer password-locked.**No, not all cleaning people steal, but some do and you need to protect your personal items.*

U will have to pay at least $12 an hour. Anything less is just an insult. I don't know how dirty is your house but let's say she will work for 4 hours - give her $ 50. Think about the time u will save, and all your guests will appreciated, trust me.
