They'll be fine. I have a coworker whose husband runs a fish business (setting up and taking care of large aquariums for businesses) and he recommends feeding once a week.

It depends on the kind of fish and the food you give them.
stores sell blocks of fish food that works like a time release pill. Those are easier. you just figure out how long it lasts and mark the day you fed them on the calender and check it every few days.
some fish(most) will die from eating too much food at a time. Just sprinkeling a whole bunch it in the tank you will have glutoney. fish animals and children are not good at saving some for later they live for the moment.
you have to ration it out for them.

They'll probably be ok. There are food blocks that you can get, though, that will "feed" them (like an extended-release food block) for a few days while you're gone.

They will probably be okay, but i wouldn't do it all the time. You need to fee them every day.
