Okay, so it's been six months since my last period and before that it was six months until I got it also, what's wrong? No, not pregnant. I think it may be due to my eating habits, but what should I do to start getting my period again? I'm young so i havent been to a gyno yet and too afraid to tell my mom cuz she'll blame me for not eating right.

You may have anemia (a lack of iron in the blood). See a doctor, even just a family doctor, and he or she can run a simple blood test for you. The eating habits may very well be the cause of it. If you do not eat much or any meat, and are not eating beans and other iron-rich foods to compensate for not eating mean, you probably are iron deficient.

See a doctor, and good luck. :)

Edit: Meant to also say, if you are indeed iron deficient, your doctor may give you a prescription iron supplement to take. I have just started taking Repliva, and so far I recommend it. :)

So, you KNOW you're starving yourself, right. Obviously, it is REALLY bad if you haven't had a period in six months. I don't know why your mother hasn't put your butt into treatment already. She's GOT to notice how horrible you look. You must! No one can not eat for that long and look good. Your mind tells you that you're fat, though....right?

Please go talk to your mother. This isn't about your periods. This is about you dying. And you ARE going to die if you don't get help. NOW.

Part of the cause could be poor diet but if you just started your periods they will be irregular for the first year or so. If you have had them for a while then you need ot see a doc and get this checked out. YOu do not need to see a GYN as your regular doc can handle this and will only refer you to a GYN if they feel they cannot help you. Get this checked out.

Eat more. If you are below, I believe, 108 lbs., then you will not get your period. Your body can not simply work normally if you are way below weight. Please start to eat more if you aren't eating much. And get help, because if you are eating so little that you lost your period, this is really serious. I wish you luck and hope that you get your period soon!

you need to start eating better make sure you get the right amount of food you need in your body because if its starved enough to start messing with your periods it isnt good maybe you should try to talk to your mom about it if you dont think she would flip out too bad and make things worse just start taking better care of yourself hopefully itll get better
