great diversion to pass lies off as 'intelligence'.

Sorry to copy and paste..but I just answered this in another question, and I thought it belonged here as well.

The Bush administration planned and executed 9-11. They needed someone to blame it on. So, they told the American people they wanted to go after the terrorists. They said the terrorists were in Iraq..so therefore...we had to invade it. But in reality IF ther had actually been any Arab terrorists...they would have invaded Saudi Arabia instead, because supposedly, 15 of the 19 (so called) terrorists were from there. So, actually, the government couldn't even get their lies straight!
If you will read the Northwood Papers(uncut version), you will see they used the same logic as on 9-11. This military person wrote "we can take military planes, paint them to look like passenger planes, make fake passenger manifestos. We can blow it out of the sky, then blame it on Cuba. That way we will have an excuse to invade Cuba." That is a quote from the document. And that document was an official one sent to the president during the Cuban missile crisis in the 60s. Those are facts folks. Look them up....IF you can find the whole document. The last time I found them they had been 'altered.' But I have a copy of it before they were chopped up.

The fear factor of 9-11 was used by Bush, Chaney, Rumsfelt and Rove to use their lack of intelligence to start war in Iraq or as we should call it Bush war #2. Failure of Bush #1 to carry out the polices of war in 1990's.

The quick answer is absolutely nothing. However, the Bush administration fabricated evidence that there was a link between Al Quaida and Saddam Hussein to make a case for going to war with Iraq. They said that Iraq was trying to make WMD's even when the UN arms inspectors could find nothing. Top CIA officials have even testified that the evidence of an Al Quaida - Iraq relationship was false. This war is completely unjustified and now we're in too deep to leave. The cost of the war is mind numbingly huge and we the taxpayers are paying for it. Thanks to those who voted for Bush!

9/11 gave Bush a false platform to build support for the invasion of Iraq. Americans were still traumatized and gripped in fear which the Bush admin took full advantage of. Other than that. There is absolutely no connection between the attack on 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq as stated by GW Bush a year after the Iraq war began.

Under Saddam Iraq allowed terrorist to train in their country. Saddam did not plan or help with 9/11 directly but he did give safe harbor to and allow training of Al Quaida terrorist in his country. Saddam had also expressed his desire to do harm to the US and did have the means to assist with future attacks. GSD summed up the situation pretty well. Look at the last 20 years of Saddam's Iraq as it pertains to the rest of the world and you will see that even without 9/11 it was time to take action. Clinton's administration took some small actions against Saddam and expressed a need for more to be done and on that point they were right.

They were an excuse for the war in Iraq. It is well known that the CIA was pushed by Cheney to develop a connection between 9-11 and Iraq and evidence that contradicted the connection was ingnored.

It provided a reason to rally the troops and send them to battle. It was the Fuel. Then we have Al-Qaeda our poster child extremist fundamentalist militant group who it's pinned on who will Represnt the Oxygen. And then we have recently deceased evil President who will be the Spark. Add all that together and you have fire. Fire that is going to burn for a long *** time in that part of the world cause there is definately enough oil to keep it burning and enough people to keep add fanning the flames and adding more fuel.

Hopefully I'm wrong and all of this madness will stop and a peaceful resolution will be reached by all parties involved.

The 9/11 Mussad false flag operation created a pretext for Bush and his Zio-con handlers to attack one of Israel's enemies.

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world. The Jihadis, the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs -- they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world. And that all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated. They want to finish the Holocaust, destroy Israel, and purge the world of Jews. This is their mantra.

There is also a civil war raging in the Middle East -- for the most part not a hot war, but a war of ideas. Islam is having its Inquisition and its Reformation, but it is not known yet which will win -- the Inquisitors, or the Reformationists. If the Inquisition wins, then the Wahhabis, the Jihadis, will control the Middle East, the OPEC oil, and the US, European, and Asian economies. The techno-industrial economies will be at the mercy of OPEC -- not an OPEC dominated by the educated, rational Saudis of today, but an OPEC dominated by the Jihadis. You want gas in your car? You want heating oil next winter? You want the dollar to be worth anything? You better hope the Jihad, the Muslim Inquisition, loses, and the Islamic Reformation wins.

If the Reformation movement wins, that is, the moderate Muslims who believe that Islam can respect and tolerate other religions, and live in peace with the rest of the world, and move out of the 10th century into the 21st, then the troubles in the Middle East will eventually fade away, and a moderate and prosperous Middle East will emerge. We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the Inquisition, i.e., the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it somewhere. And we can't do it everywhere at once.

We have created a focal point for the battle at a time and place of our choosing........in Iraq. Not in New York, not in London, or Paris or Berlin, but in Iraq, where we are doing two important things.

(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly involved in 9/11 or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively supporting the terrorist movement for decades. Saddam is a terrorist. Saddam is, or was, a weapon of mass destruction, who is responsible for the deaths of probably more than a million Iraqis and two million Iranians.

(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic terrorism in Iraq. We have focused the battle. We are killing bad people, and the ones we get there we won't have to get here. We also have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq, which will be a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East, and an outpost for a stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East for as long as it is needed.

The history of the world is the clash between the forces of relative civility and civilization, and the barbarians clamoring at the gates. The Iraq war is merely another battle in this ancient and never ending war. And now, for the first time ever, the barbarians are about to get nuclear weapons. Unless somebody prevents them.

We have four options:

1. We can defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons.

2. We can fight the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which may be as early as next year, if Iran's progress on nuclear weapons is what Iran claims it is).

3. We can surrender to the Jihad and accept its dominance in the Middle East, now, in Europe in the next few years or decades, and ultimately in America.

4. Or, we can stand down now, and pick up the fight later when the Jihad is more widespread and better armed, perhaps after the Jihad has dominated France and Germany and maybe most of the rest of Europe. It will, of course, be more dangerous, more expensive, and much bloodier.

If you oppose this war, I hope you like the idea that your children, or grandchildren, may live in an Islamic America under the Mullahs and the Sharia, an America that resembles Iran today. The history of the world is the history of civilizational clashes, cultural clashes. All wars are about ideas, ideas about what society and civilization should be like, and the most determined always win. Those who are willing to be the most ruthless always win. The pacifists always lose, because the anti- pacifists kill them.

9/11/01 was the direct result of state-sponsored terrorism. Saddam ran the state of Iraq and used it to sponsor terrorism. He developed and deployed wmd's in the past. His coorperation with terrorists in the past meant that he would be willing and capable of giving wmds to terrorists to use against enemies of Iraq.

To prevent another 9/11, we attacked Iraq before he had the ability to wage bio, chem, and nuke war using terrorists as surrogates.
