Now if you can talk to but not be in front of them you could try telemarketing. Maybe a tractor trailer driver..all they do is drive and no one is with you. How about a toll booth where people just hand you a dollar and go. Hope these were helpful. Good luck.

I"m not a people person either, but I have been always doing people person jobs. Hmm working with animals, or maybe working at a nursery (plants that is), anything outside, or maybe one of those office jobs where you just sit in front of a computer all day.

There are a lot of behind the scenes jobs, like stock clerks or computer programmers or design engineers or Fed Ex package loader or lighthouse keeper.. Depending on your skills and depending on how big a company you are working for you can pretty-much avoid having to really deal with other people (and no one will notice or find it odd).
Keep in mind that any company you work for at least involves dealing with fellow employees and even a freelancer (like a translator) ultimately must deal with a client whose opinion of them does count in terms of getting followup work.

The computer of course.
Anything over the telephone. In a office somewhere. Factory work. Craftsman. Ranch work, or animal work. Many people are not people persons, they just do not admit it like you are doing. At least you know you are not a people person. Commend you for this!

become a freelance translator, the only contact you have with your clients is about invoices, and you can do that via internet...I can´t think of a lonier profession, but if that´s what you want..my best friend is a freelance translator and not a people person...if you don´t like languages that much, you might consider other jobs you can do freelance.. designer. architect, artist etc...
