I have three house bunnies. They normally have run of the house all day and are hutched in the living-room at night. The cat likes to stalk them after lights out. Princess loves to nibble on the carpet from time to time. Mainly when her hay box runs low.
She looks at the carpet as roughage. Bunnies love to chew and chew on most anything. You really just need to get down to bunny level and bunny-proof any hazards you see. Such as cords and items you don't want nibbled on.

I had the same problem with one of my rabbits. It is so loud and very annoying so i see where your coming from. You can tell your mum a wel known facts that rabbits are the easiest pets in the world to litter train and for house pets. This is because once a rabbit has picked its spot then it will mainly ever only go there. I brought my rabbit in my garage which has no cars in. I stuck a litter tray in the garage and in no time the rabbit was doing its business in the litter tray and was running freely and happily round the garage. As for houses my cousin kept a rabbit in the house and they do not smell at all if you look after them enough. Clean their poo or wee corner out at least every 3-5 days and you will have no problem. This corner is normally in the corner of his hutch or cage so its not hard to tell. Buy some airfreshners for the study as some times people do forget to clean the corner and this is when it starts to smell. Bringing your rabbit inside doesnt mean it will be inside twenty four severn have him in at night and out during the day and this will limit the noice he makes and will keep your mum happy. I hope i have made sense to you and hope all goes well good luck. Kind regards Genty

like most rodent-y animals, rabbits will chew virtually anything. I had a rabbit who I used to let inside and he chewed my sofas, my wallpaper, my carpet, anything with a wire on it etc etc. there is very little you can do to stop this - I gave mine loads of things he was allowed to chew but he chewed what the heck he liked. I can only suggest you get a cheap mat or rug (people are always giving them away on freecycle) and let him run around on that

Rabbits gnaw and nibble anything - just be thankful its carpet and not electrical wires like mine used to do! Obviously I had to stop bringing him in after that....wouldnt have wanted a fired bunny on my hands!

well proberly rabbits just chew anything they see ours use to eat wires i have no idea why though sorry But rabbits might have poor eyesight so they don't know weather they are eating a plant or not. Its the same as when babys put things in thier mouth. they are proberly testing it or something

Rabbits like to nibble and the carpet probably taste good to him. Try giving him a piece of raw carrot, celery, or lettuce next time you catch him doing this. It might satisfy his nibbling benge.

its a nibble thing, if your rabbit see cables and other things it will nibble it. when you see your rabbit you need to clap or stomp your feet and say no so that eventually it will stop nibbling things.

also they think its grass, it sort of feels the same.

good luck!

I Always thought this was trying to 'find a way out'
since it always seems to be edges / corners
