If your hair is naturally curly, you may be able to do what I do. Blow dry it straight in sections with your blow-dryer. Start with a ponytail, then separate the bottom layer. Re-secure the ponytail. Dry that section. Continue all the way up. Get it completely dry. It should come out relatively straight, but very puffy. This is why the Chi Straightener is a wonderful thing.
Go about straightening it the same way you dried it: in sections bottom to top. When straightening, start at the root of the hair and drag the straightener down towards the end. Here you have options:
1) Straighten all the way to the end. This creates a more punk sort of look, depending on your haircut.
2) Straighten almost to the end. This is where the natural curl can be an asset. Leave the ends natural. They may curl up or under, but it creates a look the other people spend hours manufacturing. The best part about this is that if the humidity gets to it, it's ok. It just defines the curl even more. It never goes flat either, since it is not flat naturally. This look is good for more formal occasions (work, church, etc.)
I've seen some people who straighten sections and leave some curly. One thing to consider though: Once you've used your straightener, forget the curling iron, it's useless. If you want fake curls, go curling iron. If you want straight, go straightener. Don't try to mix them.
Have fun experimenting!

I think they mean, the flatiron by CHI and global beauty, not the chemical straightner.

You can er... straighten it!!!

lol, I apologize for not being much help, but it was a rather ignorant question.

And yes, I know you can curl your hair with it and flip the ends out, but it always looks bad so I suggest using a curling iron for that part.

What do you mean? You put the stuff on and it straightens your hair. Have you tried it before? I am thinking of getting it done. I know that the salons in JC Penney do a pretty good job with it.

what do you mean ? you just clip up your hair into small sections, and straighten your hair section by section. sorry, but your question didn`t explain much.
