I am afraid of becoming a lifelong bachelor because ive never had a girlfriend, the only type of relationship ive had with women were "one night stands" (no im not a player or anything like that)
If it makes a difference my 50 year old uncle is a never married bachelor

I heard it said one that the reason for most "one night stands" is that the man never asks for a second date.
Maybe on your next one night stand you should ask for a second date and see if you can keep it going. I do suggest not having sex in the first date . . . that usually destroys any hope of having a long term relationship.

well I think you are worrying yourself for no reason. In order to meet someone and have a relationship( rather than this random hook-ups) you should be out there going to community events or places where a lot of people go aka not just bars. Really, it will happen as long as you have an open mind. I answered your question because it reminded me of my father. He has been mostly single for the last 17 years, and he is definitely not the person I remember him when I was a child. He is more cold, and unwilling to meet people, and generally gruff. Therefore, if you come off as approachable and interesting in meeting people your time will come.

if you want to be married then stop the 1 night stands and call some of these girls back. go on more than 1 date with the girl, try to get to know her you may like her for more than just a good time

I,m looking each and everything you're saying to be absolute insanity! Im no longer particular if i trust any of it, yet when that is all actual then ok, you've the right to stay your existence the way you want. You have to commit yourself to being committed and you will find the woman who makes you want to settle down and be a husband. Obviously you want to or you would not be asking. Also, genetics has very little to do with it. It may have a lot to do with your cholesterol or your hairline but little to do with your dating life as far as genetics goes.

maybe you shouldn't have one night stands. maybe you should look for a nice woman who isn't easy. learn how to establish a good friendship and let it grow.
