It will bog your vehicle down, and I imagine after jump starting another car multiple times would wear down your battery eventually. But, I am guessing doing it occasionally isn't going to do any damage, as long as you are hooking the cables up correctly.

the only time it will hurt your battery is if your jumping off a battery that is much larger than yours. for example you have a 450 ca ( cranking amp ) battery, and you jump somebody with an 850. because the 850 is demanding so much power that yours cant supply,it can damage the battery.thats why most people with trucks/suvs ( truck based suv's, not the crappy car based ones ) usually wind up being the jumper because those vehicles have much more powerful batteries,and a better charging system.

It won't harm your battery unless you hook up the wires backwards. Then it will throw sparks and possibly damage your battery internally.

it might bring your juice down a little bit but after driving a little bit it will be just fine no problems what so ever
