Yes, they should, and here's why:

It gives intelligent voters like you and me the chance to figure out who the idiots are so that we can vote for who seems to have the strongest resolve and the best interest of the public at heart. Swinging back and forth is strong evidence of looking out only for your own interests.

It has been statistically proven that bad publicity hurts a candidate more than good publicity helps him/her. So when they switch views back and forth, they get good pub from one side and bad pub from the other side. If they do this too often, you can see that the net effect will be overwhelmingly negative on the candidate.

My opinion is that we should sit back and either laugh at or pity the candidates that can't seem to get it straight.

Yes. As a candidate, if you are confused about choosing to side with your personal beliefs and what will make you look good in the long run. Especially if you want to portray yourself as a strong WOMAN who isn't afraid of going to WAR. People will then believe that you are strong enough to be a Commander and Chief...arrrrrrggggg!

Well, unless the war turns out to be a disaster :-(

Why would you stick to the wrong answer if it is obviously wrong. You make corrections and move on with it.
