The original purpose for the IQ test was to determine what grade you should be placed in school. It is still used for this purpose. If you have reason to think you (or your child, I am not sure who you are asking for), have been misplaced, the school psychologist or other administrator will be happy to run you through a test.
If you are an adult, then why would you need to know? If all you want is a number, then I give you a score of 125 because you seem an honest person and deserve a break.
Actually, scholastic achievement has a good correlation to scores from IQ tests. If you got good grades in school, you can be sure that you are above average.

There is no such thing.
I haven't taken an online IQ test where I haven't scored above a 155 on the first attempt. Believe me, I don't have a 155 IQ.
And for those above me: I got a 158 no Tickle's test. It's more of an ego booster than an IQ test. Just look for a local testing place near you where you can take a real one if you're actually interested.
