Dragon would have gotten on her cell phone and called the Transit customer service. Cuz that is unacceptable.

This happened to me last Saturday, and it was below zero outside, the bus driver went across the street to McDonald's and left a whole bunch of people standing outside in the cold. I was already on the bus with some other people, so we opened the back door and let the people on. The bad thing was, people are so used to being treated like this, nobody said anything.

I would have taken down the bus number, his badge number if he had one and reported him. Then the company could deal with the issue as a warning to all employees or however they saw fit.
I've seen drivers stop on the roadside and grab a coffee...I don't mind a minute or so wait, but they don't have a right to stop and have a lunch break like that...no, no, no!!!
PS: They might be allotted time for lunch, but they should empty the bus, shut the doors, THEN go to lunch...never with customers...what if a vehicle slammed into the bus? There'd be all hell to pay.

I think the bus driver had a lot of nerve! He should bring his own lunch like the rest of us....Idiot! That's very bad service.....he should do something like that when the bus is empty or out of service. Not making you wait on his time. I would report him. I wonder what would happen if he crossed the wrong group of people?? I don't mean anything violent but, I mean with words...he would deserve the bad attitude.

Yes, I know enough bus drivers to be able to believe this person! I would have got off the bus, got my own McDonalds and eaten it 6 inches from the driver's face!

First, I would ask him to share. Secondly, I would have walked to where he was seated and simply asked for his name or his badge number, then I would walk back to the bus and call Metro and reported him. Hopefully he had a 'good' excuse for this like he was running way ahead of schedule or he felt he was going to be slipping into a diabetic coma. He should have let the passengers know why he chose to to this, though.

I reckon he shouldn't have left you guys locked in the bus. Something could have happened and you guys would have been trapped. And I hope he had a very quick bite. He could have eaten at his break. I probably would have said something snide as I got off the bus.

Wow. That's a driver that needs to be fired. It'd be bad enough if you were on a school but, but for someone who bought a bus ticket to be treated like that is inexcusable. I would get the drivers name from his/her badge and call it in. That is no way to treat paying customers.
