I am 28 weeks pregnant and I woke up this morning with an upset stomach (diahrea twice), feeling nauseated, and my lower back usually aches but I am getting sharp shooting pains in my rib cage on the right side. It's a horrible feeling. I don't feel like doing anything and hate to ignore my 11 month old daughter. Is this a normal thing to feel this way. I have been pregnant before and don't remember feeling like this...

I felt the same exact way with my first. As far as the sharp back and side pains, they could just as easily be contractions. Really be careful though. I didn't know it until a week after having them and I ended up going in at 31 weeks for premature labor.

Every pregnancy is different, but to me, what you're describing doesn't sound like typical pregnancy symptoms. It might be worth taking a trip to the doctor - even if it's nothing to worry about, he might be able to give you something that will make you feel a little better. Good luck, and I hope you get well soon!

You have an 11 month daughter and are 4 months pregnant already? Haven't you heard about birth control? Think about what it is doing to your body?

I think you should call your doctor. Diarrhea and lower back pain can be signs of preterm labor. Let your doctor know what you are feeling.

I don't want to stress you but the pain in your rib cage could be from your liver. You need to see your doctor. Call ASAP. It could be the beginning of preeclampsia. Please don't ignore it. Call the doctor NOW!

Also.. the nausea could be from the liver problems too. Please call!
