I have to write a resume for grad school (pharmacy school) and they want me to include hobbies/interests. so far i put down reading, studying foreign languages, excercising, and yoga/pilates. is that what they're looking for, or what do they want exactly? what else should i put?

They are trying to see what you do to relax. A relaxed employee is a happy employee. They are trying to also see how well rounded you are. You need to put things down that make you seem completely together. exercising and yoga are the same thing so I would just put yoga/pilates. It sounds better. Also let them know that you take for ex. walks in the evening to help you relax. Or that you love to hike to clear your mind.
Good luck!

I used to do the hiring for a business.

Hi!
First of all, did u kno that the average TIME spent on a resume being reviewed is ONLY 7-11 seconds?? AND the majority of this is spent on the COVERING LETTER, not the resume itself! However, that being said, AFTER u have written a fabulous cover letter that will 'sell' u to the company and provide them with the highlights of your experience and attributes, for hobbies and interests express a few that will help define you 2 the reader as a person and that you do have other interests outside of work and assist in showing that you, as an individual, are ALWAYS striving to be the best that you can be!

Examples: swimming, (physical activity), creativity: crafts, painting, -what u mentioned above covers the general sense of what would express you as a 'full-rounded' person..

Best of luck to you!
Blessed be!

WHO wants you to include hobbies? I don't know why it would be different for your occupation, but I have never heard of an actual person from HR wanting to know your hobbies! Depending on what your hobbies are, they could be used to discriminate against you!
