Is there anyone out there that their husbands have sent them 1 red rose for every year they have been married on their anniversary.
This may be a strange question, but my hubby is a pain in the neck and he really rely's on me too much.I have always done everything for him but his soft spot is these roses.10 years 10 roses.30 years 30 roses, 43 years 43 roses.I have told him to stop but will he listen ???? NO.
He buy's me anything I want if he can afford it,but I would like idea's from anyone, how to stop him buying these roses.I have goodness knows how many vase's.
Please don't get me wrong he is a great man really and I should be grateful but my favourite flower is carnations.

Honestly, if i think i would appreciate it if i did something if my g/f didnt like or appreciate. Its appreciated when the act of giving if recognized and the efforts involved. Yet, if it is something which you dont like, it would be preferrable to tell your husband that you dont like it or would prefer something else. He'll be happy knowing that he's giving you something you like.

This also bring up another point. Why is it hard to just accept a present (or in this case roses)? The guy thinks he's doing something you like. if it really bothers you, maybe you can both go to a florist and mention to him that you want a carnation instead. Maybe he'll get the picture then. Else, just accept that roses cause it'll hurt you even more when he stops giving you roses.

It just seems its hard trying to please someone (in terms of gifts).

Wow, i get flowers but not like that. You are one lucky lady. Please just accept it with grace and if you have too many send them to me. Don't tell him that you prefer carnations [ little white lie] he will probably feel stupid and just stop sending you flowers. My husband once bought me a huge bouquet of flowers and i jokingly asked him if his girlfriend did not want them, needless to say that joke cost me never getting surprise flowers again. Just take the roses and be happy you have such a classy man.:)))

Keep buying him a different brand of beer of soda than what he really wants. When he asks you why, then tell him your favorite flower is carnations, not roses!

Very romantic, but what a waste of money, especially as your flower is carnation!!!!!

Got to be upfront and tell him!

Good luck

I don't know why I find your story funny lol. Just tell him the truth...be honest. In my opinion I think that's the cutest thing a man could do for me. I wish someone would send me a rose every year...*sigh*
