Celebrity Big Brother bully victim Shilpa Shetty has been accused of racism after starring in a TV comedy sketch alongside a 'blacked up' actor. The skit has echoes of the Black and White Minstrel Show, which was axed from British TV screens in 1978. Shilpa is seen laughing and joking with an actor wearing a large Afro wig and black make-up. The images could shock thousands of her fans who backed her in the Big Brother house as she was subjected to racist taunts by Jade Goody.They (Advertisement)come from an Indian television programme called Extra Shetty that was screened in September 2004.Eroll Walters, director of the Black Londoner's Forum, told the Daily Star: "It's crude and it's crass."We are not against satire or humour but these ideas are completely out of date. It is offensive and black people will be outraged."Social commentator Jaye Williamson told the newspaper: "Maybe Shetty is the racist, mocking Africans on her TV show."

she's no victim she engineered the whole thing to boost her flagging career and jade was a casualty of war i don't like her as she's fake all that she professes to stand up 4 is a lie and i don't like liars and i am an Caribbean person and I'm offended by her racist remarks i think she should get the same treatment she and her fans inflicted on jade that would be fair there are so many double standards that go on at the moment it's so irritating and i think it should be confronted but will i now be classed as a racist for what I've just said?

Jade isn’t racist, she is just angry at Shilpa because she blames her for her mother downfall. She believes the public wanted her mom out because of all the arguments she was having with Shilpa, and they also blame Shilpa for Carol demise. On several occasions, Jade tried to be friendly towards Shilpa, but nothing bared fruit. The people in there who are racist are Danielle and Jo, they say nasty things about the Shilpa, and all the racist attitudes come from them. Danielle is very manipulative, she tries to make conversation with Shilpa and then she reports back to Jade and Jo, making the conversation sound worse than it was. The media is despicable, they hate the way that Jade got famous and they are trying to stick all kind of mud on her. I challenge anyone to find one racist comment, mockery or attitude that Jade had towards Shilpa. I am hoping Shilpa win, but I think Jade is getting the blame for the other two behaviour it should be on Danielle and Jo

Wow! I've always been one of those who, not defending Jade Goody, stated that Shilpa was not victim of racism at all. Had she been a victim of racism this sort of behaviour would still not be acceptable. I believe in karma - what comes around goes around and if she's been behaving this way, I suppose she only got what she deserved - although I must emphasize again, she was not a victim of racism. I think she should be grilled and made to apologise like the other 3 girls (Jade, Jo and I forgot her name now).

i think this is plain stupidity! we are obsessed with putting a label on everything, is not the treatment that jade and pals are getting now not bullying! it is a never ending circle and we will never win! i would also like to point out that after a recent visit to burton on trent, my daughter and her friends were chased by indians shouting racist abuse at them because they are white, if my daughter and her friends had done this to them it would mean police involved etc but yet black on white nothing is done because we are being racist when we are correcting there racist behaviour!

Jade Goody is just a nasty woman who gets off on her temper, loves bullying people and being in control, she would lie to save her own skin, it's been proven she is a fake and a liar, a nothing that's made money off the public believing in her rise to stardom from nothing, her fake DVD when it's obvious she had no control over herself to diet and exercise she took the easy way out and had a liposuction operation. I'm not a big fan of Shilpa but I know who out of the two of them who I would rather have move in next door to me if i had the choice and it wouldn't be that Goody Monster thing.

we're all racist at one point in our lives.. white hate blacks, blacks hate whites, indians hate pakis, pakis hate indians, whites hate indians, indians hate blacks, blacks hate chinese, chinese hates indians... list goes on and on
