I am pregnant now, and did get pregnant on the pill. I found out that I was pregnant when my period did not start when it was supposed to. I took my pregnancy test the day that I was supposed to start my new pill pack, and of course it came out positive. My doctor actually told me that my body could have been hormonally imbalanced for any number of reasons that month, and by being on the pill it could have corrected the imbalance and made me get pregnant! I would continue to take your pill until you have a missed period and then I would take a test before starting a new pack. Good luck!

Yes, I got pregnant while taking the pill, and continued to take the pill during my pregnancy. I suspected that I was pregnant, but each time I took a test it was negative.

For four months I had five negative pregnancy test, which were performed at planned parenthood. The nurse at planned parenthood began to think that I had psychological problems, because there was no way I could be one the pill, still get a period, and be pregnant. With the six test I got a positive, using my blood to determine if I was pregnant. At this point I was 5 1/2 months pregnant. My husband gave me the nickname fertile Myrtle (lol). My daughter was born healthy, and is now 16.

I would suggest scheduling an appointment with your primary care physician to find out for sure if you are pregnant.

I got pregnant on the pill AND using a condom! Let's just say that my daughter was meant to be here. I didn't know that I was pregnant until my 3rd month (when I went to renew my pill). I continued to have regular monthly cycles until my 4th month. When the doctor told me I was pregnant, I told him he had the wrong urine and needed to test me again.......but sure enough, I was pregnant! It happens, so get a test. I didn't have any problems during pregnancy after taking the pill for the first 3 months, but you still want to take a test and stop taking the pill if you are pregnant.

GOOD LUCK!!

If you think you are pregnant, then take a test to find out for sure. No form of contraceptive is 100% effective- I think the Pill is somewhere between 94-98% effective. If you forget to take a tablet one day, or take it late etc, then it lowers its effectiveness; but even with this said, if you take it like clockwork, it still may fail to be foolproof. Good luck.

Yes. Have a pregnancy test today and if you are pregnant and you aren't planning on aborting, stop taking the pills NOW.

I did! I have a beautiful daughter who was conceived while I was on the pill. I did stay on it till I found out, but stopped taking it immediately once I did.

It happens, more often than you think. Even if the pill were 99.99% effective, if you put 100 million women on it (over a period of time) that's 10,000 unplanned babies.

And it's actually about 99.0% effective...

It is not a 100% safe method of contraception. So you may well be pregnant, though it is unlikely.
Why not take a pregnancy test/see your doctor?
