I'm not sure if there has been studies done on it, but it does contain chemicals. But in any case it is always better than tanning beds or laying out in the sun!

Dermatologists will tell you to use it instead of actual sun or tanning beds.

better than the sun or tanning bed ...obviously, I wouldn't think it would hurt unless you used it all the time
