There you go, that's the conundrum. She says that because that guy died she went to the lakehouse. If he hadn't have died, she'd never have gone, they never would have met. Of course, he wouldn't have died trying to get to her. Life would have gone on. But the movie would've been pointless.
Time travel is always just so confusing. Harry Potter? Wouldn't have worked. You can't cross a bridge, get to the future, and go back in time to tell yourself to build that bridge so you can cross it. It just doesn't work that way. Kate and Leopold? Also has its problems. Back to the Future might work, as it brings up alternate realities, but again, there are flaws here and there.

I thought it was a great movie. She doesnt talk to a dead guy, she saves him from dieing. I guess it takes an intelligent person to understand it.

in case you think of like they are thinking, confident. trouble-free to comprehend. Love withstands all issues and would even defeat time. sturdy message. trouble-free and gooey. If, whether, you think of like a rational individual, no. and that i visit argue my case. think of roughly this. the reason she is going back to the Lakehouse, and he or she admits this herself, is by using the fact the guy died, and that have been given her thinking. whilst she realizes that the guy that died grew to become into the guy she's falling in love with, she hurries and prevents him from death. ok... She stops the guy from death. Logically, the destiny then would have replaced. the guy in no way died, she in no way began thinking, she in no way went to the Lakehouse, and he or she in no way met him. So, he would in no way have been interior the possibility interior the 1st place, via fact he grew to become into crossing the line to get to her. yet she gave him the letter that informed him to attend. yet, as you will discover, he waited, he did no longer die, and he or she did no longer flow to the Lakehouse. So. they does no longer finally end up mutually, logically. it is nonetheless a happy ending, and that i'm happy they are happy.
