has anyone ever been whipped on their back? what your experience?.....if not, how would you disciplined? tell me your story.... i am 23 now, i was whipped on my back, no shirt, usually with a belt. hope to talk soon!

We were yelled at, we were whipped and we were slapped. Funny thing is....I completely respect my parents. As far as Im concerned, I was raised right. Ive never hit my son though. But I do go by the same ethics my parents did. Im just not hands on about it. There were 10 of us, so I know my parents had alot of stress.*

I was whipped as a child (usually on the behind or across the face), and I love my parents, but I don't think that what they did was right. It only made me afraid of them at times, and now we don't have a very close relationship. Whether or not their method of discipline played a role in this, I don't know. I know that I don't plan to use that method when I have children. People tell me that if I don't, my children will grow up to be spoiled brats, but I would rather have them be spoiled brats than scarred, well-behaved children. I don't believe the ends justify the means. I have not found a better way to handle the punishment of children, but I won't have kids of my own until I do. There just has to be a better way.
