its obvious the dixie chicks suck....did they win so much because of music, or their misguided veiw of the world.....

They won for the same reason Carter won the Nobel Prize - as a statement against Bush rather than for any achievement. Consider who selects these - it's not the people.
Not that I ever cared much about these self-adulatory awards shows - they're just plain stupid, IMO.

Well, it definitely is a statement! With so many who oppose them, for them to take the Grammy's like they did was NOT simply because of popularity votes! Hollywood is a political storm center right now and I will be very surprised if any pro-Bush, pro-Iraq war movie stars walk away with an Oscar!

They won because the members of the board thought that they deserved to win. There music is not my type but I do respect that they were brave enough to go against the norm. Many other groups would have issued a statement about how sorry they were for what was said and went to rehab. But they stood by what they felt and used there musical gift to express there feelings. That's what music is about right?

considering that they have had to cancel many concerts due to lack of attendence, I would say they suck. You cannot tell CW fans that you do not want them as fans, then go out and expect these people to buy your music.
I remember watcing the Chicks here in DFW when they used to play in the west end and deep ellum, before they got big. Natalie was hot, true, but she was and is always a clueless *****.

probably a bit of both, moron. you know that the grammies and the tonies and oscars de los c&%$%&s are all political theatres of retards. don´t be surprised that the retards are becoming political, that way a light bulb can go off in their heads and they´ll think they are special. just call mom for that.
