let me ask you this....what's more likely to lower your morale if you are a soldier fighting in a distant war?

1) hearing that a party in washington is trying to find a way to bring you home, out of harms way, because they dont feel you should be there, or

2) finding out that yet another reason of why you are fighting was a lie, leaving you to wonder what in the world you are fighting for, and why so many of your comrades are getting killed?

it just seems to me that everytime you find out a reason for invasion was a lie, and no explanation (at least a correct one) was given to you, your morale would suffer. and with no objectives and no end in sight, how can your morale be high? so i ask again, how are the liberals undermining the troops morale....isnt it the other way around?

We're not. For some reason, neocons think that terrorists are sitting at home in front of the TV, reading our papers, watching American television and paying very close attention to what the liberals in this country are doing.

Personally, I believe they're plotting how to kill us. ALL of us, not just the liberals.

Islamic terrorists don't give a crap about our politics. They care about our religion.

do you know any soldiers?

may i suggest some reading? there are some wonderful Milblogs out there, of military serving in the wars who blog. and there's also some journalists there who also blog, seeing as how they can't get their stories printed by the MSM. Michael Yon is one name you can search for. (sorry i don't have a link right now.) INDC journal is another. Milblogging.com says they're the world's largest index of military blogs. i'd imagine you could find plenty of different views on the blogs themselves.

i suggest as a starting point a special NBC recently aired. there are clips at YOUTUBE of the soldiers explaining exactly why and how the liberals are undermining their morale.

they also say you can't support the troops and not support the mission. however, since you already have pre-conceived ideas, you'll likely not let any of them sway you. you'll stick to the few that agree with your notions, and ignore the rest of them. however, hope springs eternal.

1) I am a troop.

2) I know what I am fighting for. Whether or not it is the same reason as what it was in the beginning is irrelevant to me. I believe that if we leave before we truly finish the job, then all my friends who have died, have died for nothing.

3) The people I met in Iraq and the people who I saw while rolling through neighborhoods, truly wanted us there and were happy to see us. The only people who do not want us there are the thugs and insurgents and the democrats. What a trio!!! I am not happy that they seem to be working together. I am not the only one who thinks that way. They can spout their nonsense about supporting the troops but not the mission, but no on here that I have met, believes them.

Southern, think will ya? Telling the troops you support them but not their mission is a bunch of crap. Do you like football or baseball? Well, It's like telling the New Orleans Saints or Atlanta Braves you support their team but hate the game they play. It's nonsense. Thats all you hear from the mouths of the leading Democrats today - except for Senator Joe Lieberman and 1 or 2 others.

Lets see, Liberal media has said this of our troops:
William M. Arkin is NBC's Military Analyst
"But it is the United States, and the recent NBC report is just an ugly reminder of the price we pay for a mercenary - oops sorry, volunteer - force that thinks it is doing the dirty work."
Murtha
In spite of evidence to the contrary, he continues to tell America that our military "is broken and worn out"
Receives Code Pink award from the anti-war group that demonstrates against wounded service personnel at Walter Reed Hospital
Inappropriate pushing forward of the Stryker vehicle without proper field testing, which resulted in the deaths of military personnel at the front in Iraq.
"We Can't Win"
“(Marines) killed innocent civilians in cold blood”
"We can deploy to Okinawa."
John Kerry
" ... And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the - of - the historical customs, religious customs."
Anti-War Protesters' Anger Is Misplaced
By John Gibson
"A Syracuse woman is accused of spitting in a Fort Drum soldier's face at Hancock Airport. Lauren Maggi, 35, was charged with second-degree harassment after the Nov. 22 incident, according to a police report."
Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Spat on during war protest by liberals....

Thank God the troops know why they are there and what they are doing. They SEE the truth. Liberals believe the tripe they read in the paper and the politicians use that ignorance to gain power. It apparently works. The dumbing down of America is quite a large success.

I would say that to answer your question, one must ask the troops themselves. And invariably, when asked about this subject, the troops have said that they want to stay until the job is finished in Iraq. They have reported over and over again that they think leaving too soon would be a catastrophe. And if you will check the facts, you will see that a majority of military personnel vote Republican, rather than Democrat. I am surprised that it isn't the Democrats who are wanting them to stay over there in order to reduce the number of people voting Republican. Oh my, I shouldn't have said that. They probably hadn't thought that one through, yet.

wager i will locate many greater Psychiatrists who declare conservatives are nuts, so this Psychiatrist peddling a e book claiming liberals are nuts observed a money making threat from conservatives buying his e book, attempting to validate their ideals. A evaluate of Dr Lyle Rossiter's biography exhibits he's made a residing on the government teat as a "representative". little question additionally taking advantage of getting sufferers from insured healthcare who does no longer were in a position to arise with the money for his amenities in any different case. quite liberal of him, so I doubt if he believes the rubbish he spews.

1) "undermining" our troops - Telling them that people are protesting the war at home.
2) Telling them that the freedom they are fighting to protect is false!
