Yes I do. I think he has done a tremendous job as leading the country in a time where we are so divided as nation, and the libs and dems change their mind with the direction of the wind, so all things considered I think he's done one hell of a job.

I find it rediculous that so many people like to hang so much on the President.
I consider myself to be party free so don't hang me with a Republican banner. It is quite amazing how so many people that claim to be intelligent, blame a President, regardless of name or party, for the decisions made for our country.
If you think about how many topics the President must deal with at any particular time, how is he, alone, supposed to make educated decisions. He has to decypher information brought to him by the people that surround him. Information that has more than likely been altered for someones agenda.
To think he makes decisions based on his own findings is absurd. Take for instance, the findings of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. His cabinet, not him alone, used these "findings" as one reason to go to war in Iraq. Afterwards, we find that there may not have been any in the first place. George Bush didn't generate the report saying that Iraq had the weapons. He and his cabinet had to inspect a report from the people that got a report from someone else, that in turn got a report from the inspectors. How many opportunities do you think there are to have intel arranged to meet someones agenda.
Our countries problems go much farther and deeper than our President. I would go so far as to say that our President does not run the country. He is simply filling a historical position that stands for democracy.
I think that he wants the best for our country and our people. I think that he is honest and real and truly believes in what he says.

Well,of course! He was elected twice and his
Father was also a President!!! Bush didn't want
the USA to be attacked again & he cared about all
the people & families that were killed in 911,& he
didn't forget them. I am shocked at how so many
people here in the USA have forgotten those who
died in the attacks of 911!!! It is a horror!

One of the best who has taken us through some of the toughest of times. Many have said that FDR was bad during his stead, but what do they say now? When you elect a president, you look at his qualifications and his views. Do you want your president to be swayed by polls that are swayed by the media. NO!!!!!!
If you look back, JFK was not popular at the time of his death and he probably would not be re-elected. He was quite unpopular. What happened???? Who knows, but we all know he did nothing to promote anything positive , but he is considered "good".
The question you may want to ask is: Does it really matter to GW Bush if he is considered to be "good" as long as he believes what he is doing is right?

This is kind of obvious but I'll try to list:
War
Immigration
Debt
Katrina
US standing in the world
rise of radical Islam
Rise of regimes like North Korea -- got nukes
Iran had a moderate Islamist govt 7 years ago, now they're radical and trying to get Nukes
Education, if you have kids --- gotta love "no child left behind"!
Venezuala is now trying to spread socialism in Central and South America. Why? b/c we're bogged down in Iraq and can't really do anything about it.
Are you serious?

When you compare the "want to be a war president" gwb to real war presidents like FDR, Wilson, and Abe Lincoln; I think he kind of comes up lacking.

No. A good President represents the people.
George Bush has consistently done what the majority of Americans do NOT want him to do.

No, he is a pretty sorry president, one of the worst this country has ever had for sure. He is an idiot. Do you remember when he said that victory was ours on that battleship about Iraq. Or how we invaded Iraq becuase of "WMDs". Do you remember when he said stay the course? Do you see him now flip flopping around like a confused politician? Did you vote for this guy?

Not at all. He will go down as one of the worst. He's all ready a joke. The people that support and honor him will be looked at and remembered as the people who burned "witches" in Salem.
