I'm studying publicity and I have a project which is to be given in on Wednesday, so help would be very much appreciated. Okay, here's what I have to do: invent a product (it can be simple, like a perfume or something) and then draw an advert for it (i then have to analyse my ad). can you give me ideas on what product i can do, and a name for it? and maybe a theme for my ad? i was thinking maybe jewelry but i need a name and a theme. Thanks!

I guess your perfume idea would work- i don't see why not. You can do it with just about anything like cars, any type of comsumer product(a cleaning product), a type of service, a new computer software etc...
You may call your perfume "Desire" one idea is to link the name of the product with the effect you want to create. You can link Desire to a Fantasy everytime you wear Desire your are transported to that place in your mind.
The cosumer has to be able to relate to the experience you are trying to project.your Idea should center around Fantasy & Desire. I wish could be of more help.
Good Luck.

How about an advert for a simple luxurious white bath towel. Just have a picture of a gorgeous man ( Daniel Craig, David Beckham)standing with a bath towel wrapped around his waist, just having got out of the shower. Women will buy them for their men hoping that they will lbe transformed after a shower

When I was studying Communications I had to do someting similar, so I did a chocolate bar that was half white and half milk chocolate and called it Unison. It was easy to draw and advertise. Chocolate would be good with Valentines day coming up. Hope this helps. Have fun with it

I absolutely hate adverts and when I see one on the TV I write down the product name so I never buy it.
Now why not try global warming ? It "sells" quite well and there is an edge to it.

What about a night time face pack for acne sufferers?

You could describe how it cleans and moisture's through the night.
