Neither. I've always believed (since the '80s and I'm only 31) that it's religion, but I've matured to see traitorous/subversive politicians and degenerate Hollywood as additional factors.

I would posit that American liberals, ergo American movies, promote immoral, decadent, "Fall of Rome"-type images of the West that offend a certain group. That group is ignorant of the West in any other capacity. They are further TOLD by, not only their OWN opportunistic snake oil salespeople, but by supposed Americans /Westerners also, that they SHOULD hate the U.S., the West.

Add that they see their fellow citizens suffering economic oppression in their own countries by their own RULERS, and sometimes their own "classes" enjoying the fruits of economic relationships with cultures that are anathema to their own (Muslim, sharia, whatever). Terrorists are not restricted to any one economic "class."

That's all I got. That's some of what I've picked up over the years. I know someone else has deeper knowledge than I.
But unemployment is a RED herring:) And "violence" in film is a nonstarter save for the weak "soul."

Terrorists are neither broadminded nor they do subjected to employment. their intentions are so different they don't know what is there ambition. they just do what they guided for as an mission .and the mission makers take some ideas from movies.

but here it is one more fact that we are not taking advantage of those movies for making defence.
for solving the problem of unemployment many more BPO's, employment provider websites & some small firms or companies are providing the job as per the qualification.
after getting job one can try to be get more.
so where is the violence ??!
youth are source of creativity having lots of energy that they do misuse for violence.
here we need to either redirect or punish them so that they do the does for humanity .

Terrorism is not due to unemployment or by seeing movies although both to some extent encourage people to be terrorists. Terrorism is caused mainly for polical power, religious fanaticism and hatred of other religions and to use force to resolve certain demands.Kashmiri terrorists, irish republic terrorists, ulfa terrorists, naxalites.etc., come under political terrorists while al khida. islamic fanaticism .etc., come under religious terrorism. If terrorists resort to nonviolence to achieve their objectives there is no terrorism at all.But does it sound good for a terrorist.

Terrorism is based in lack of education, poverty, and others raising children with cult-like repetious hate and beliefs. Sometimes its due to a lack in the individual to find strength in themselves and having a need to belong. Think of the Italian Mob or LA street gangs or Chinese gangs- its all similar-Irish fighting also. In harsh, unforgiving surroundings, with no other choices or windows of opportunity, and a lack of knowledge of the world and education....one does whar one sees as the strongest choice. Look at the African fighting that is endless it seems and for no cause. What a waste of humans and country and nature and time. I think when we can enjoy the mass spread of all education, news and literature and info, it will serve us well as a country but also globally in this fight. We can become more culture and color-blind, but, though one can see us changing (and I think this is also a fight against that very change) I don't think it will happen in our lifetime. Sad.

Terrorism spawns from religious nutcases living in dawn of man times (Islam mainly) brainwashing children bascially from birth to hate the west and kill the infidel.

Neither.
Terrorism results from a lack of respect for human life.
Almost everybody agrees that violence is justifiable for self-defense or to defend others from unjust aggression. But not against innocents.
