Firstly y'all need to stop judging this girl, if you don't have anything helpful to say in response to her question then keep you damn opinions to yourself, she is probably having a hard enough time right now without you sending her abusive clap trap about pro-life!

If you're considering having a abortion for whatever reason then you need to see a professional, go to your doctor, school nurse, local family clinic and get all the help and advice you need to make the right decision for YOU.

PLEASE DON'T DO IT!! I am one of only two of all my close female friends who did not abort my first pregnancy, and every single one of them has deep, deep regret. You cannot imagine the pain, anxiety and depression that they have all experienced over this - everything from nightmares to crying unexpectedly at the sight of a baby years later. We are all in our mid-30's now, these abortions took place in our late teens and early twenties, and even today they all still hurt over it and it is the one thing in all of their lives that they wish they could go back and do differently.

The other girl who did not abort had a beautiful baby boy that she gave up for adoption. It was an open adoption, and the family has always included her and her the baby's daddy as part of their own. Her baby got to have a wonderful, loving upbringing and has two families that love him.

If you cannot or do not want to have the baby, please consider adoption. Talk to some attorneys in your area who do adoptions. Most of the time, couples who are trying to adopt will cover your expenses.

Again, I implore you, DON'T DO IT!!! Even if you take away religious beliefs, take away all moral issues, I promise you, you will still regret the decision to abort for the rest of your life.

Everyone needs to stop judging this girl. She asked a question and needs advice: the whole point of Yahoo answers. She's not looking for your opinion or personal beliefs.

Honey, abortion is a serious thing. I've had one and it absolutely changed my life. No matter what you decide, your life will be different after you go through this and it shouldn't matter how long the procedure will take, it will be hard regardless. Planned Parenthood is an excellent, NON-JUDGEMENTAL place where you can feel welcomed and cared for. They also offer medication abortion (in some states, don't know where you're from) which is less invasive than a surgical abortion.

Good luck to you, miss. I hope you have someone to go with you when you make your appointment and when you go through this. Don't let these people push their beliefs on you.

It depends on the type of abortion committed. Whether you are "too young" or not, you already have a baby and that baby is depending on you for protection. It's not your baby's fault that you are young, or that your boyfriend is being a jerk. She didn't ask to be created, and she doesn't deserve to die.

You are not alone. If you go to a crisis pregnancy center, they will give you free, confidential help, including referrals for financial, medical, legal, and housing assistance, a free ultrasounds (at many centers), free maternity and baby supplies, pregnancy, parenting, and adoption information, and counseling and emotional support. You can find one near you here:
http://www.optionline.org/advantage.asp (USA)
http://www.heartbeatinternational.org/worldwide_directory.asp (worldwide)

You don't need to feel sorry for your boyfriend, and you shouldn't allow him to manipulate you. He knew the potential consquences when he decided to have sex with you. If he really cared about you, he wouldn't ask you to put yourself at risk and kill his son or daughter.

No, they take longer than that. Sorry.

Also, there is no link between abortion and breast cancer. That's just propaganda from fundamentalist scaremongers. The link is between breast cancer and the number of menstrual cycles a woman experiences in her lifetime. There is some data that suggests that the more periods a woman has, the greater her risk of breast cancer may be. Since women do not ovulate or menstruate when they are pregnant, some people think that more pregnancies mean a decreased risk of breast cancer. Anti-choicers interpret this to mean that abortions increase the risk. In truth, abortions do not increase the risk of breast cancer any more than simply not conceiving children does.

This so-called link is political only and has no basis in medical fact. Note that the person who made this claim cited a lobbying group.

dont know but you should reconsider. It was your responsibility and you doing. i think abortion is the easy way out. your dad will forgive you in less time then killing an inocent baby that could've had a life. Did you ever think of adoption? i mean at least the baby would have a chance.

Go the your local Planned Parenthood office, and talk to someone there. I ahve no idea how long an abortion takes...but I am guessing it takes no longer than a d&c. Which, from the time you get knocked out to the time you awake was about 20 min.

don't abort ur baby cuz when u die and go up to heaven ur baby u killed is gonna be there wondering why u scarped them outta ur body like they were trash
how u gonna face that
there is always adpotion
if ur old enough to spread ur legs u know what can happen and at the time u musta thought u were ready for sex and all the stuff that comes along with it and this is something that can happen and did now its time to grow up and face it insted of trying to hide the fact of what u did by killing an innocent baby

No this is not true. They are going to prep you for surgery and knock you out, then scrap your insides out with a knife. Then kill a baby. Then you will pay for it for the rest of your life.. and when you want to have children later on.. it is very possible you will never be able too.. cause they can damage your uterus or your ovaries.. so is an abortion worth it.. NO!

Another thing.. start birth control and this would not have been an option.. it takes 7mins to get pregnant..

Mine did not even take 7 minutes. Mine was like, literally 1 minute, tops.

Honey, you do what you feel like you need to do. Dont let anyone judge you. Everyone has their own personal reasons for doing it. Dont let anyone tell you that it is wrong. Like I said, you do what you need to do, for yourself.
