Or would a better question be WHY DID BUSH SEND US TO WAR IN IRAQ ON BAD INTELLIGENCE AND WHY IS HE INCREASING THE TROOP LEVELS AGAINST CONGRESS RECOMMENDATIONS? WHo do you blame for this horrible quagmire in Iraq? The president or the dems?

Because the Democrats were given mis-information by Bush and his regime.
Bush has been directing this theater since he's been in office, so it's the Republican's fault 100%.
He's their man!

Both. The President's intelligence was bad, worse than we thought before. The link between Saddam and Osama isnt as obvious as we thought. Was Saddam still bad? Yes. Could he have and was he willing to use terrorists to hurt the US? Yes. The war is not a quagmire, yet. So, both the Dems and the Pres should rock n roll-increase troop levels or whatever that is needed to be done to finish it off. They should fund the training of an Iraqi military, and get out of there, there are bigger problems, like Iran. However, 9/11 is the fault of the terrorists, not Bush or Clinton.

You should get your facts straight.
The intelligence was based on what Bill Clinton and his administration had, not Bush. The Bush administration could have done their own report but why would they doubt intelligence gathered by another American that is SUPPOSED to have our best intrests at hand?
81 Democrats voted to go in and the Democrats Highest level of politicians publicly stated that Iraq's WMD's needed to be removed. So who's fault is it?
BOTH. THe Dem's and Repub's are both responsible for this heap of crap.
What is worse right now is the Democrats got into the House and Senate using the stand of "get out of Iraq" and still we have no plan. THis was yet another ruse to bid for the whitehouse. If they can keep us in Iraq for at least 18 more months, they can use it to appease the public with a withdrawl if a Dem takes office. They don't care about the us. If they cared about these Soldiers so much like they say they do then there would be a plan by now.
No....this is another ploy to gain the Whitehouse, nothing more and at the expense of the American Soldier's.

It'd be pretty stupid to pull out of Iraq now. I think the war was ridiculous, but now that we're there, we are stuck in a quagmire until the Iraqi army can handle things on their own. The big issue that I have with Bush's "plan" is that there's NO strategy for leaving. We're just throwing more troops at the situation like that'll magically make it all better.

Had not Bush manipulated the twisted the Intelligence he received about the WMDs, etc of Iraq - the Dems would not have voted to go along with him!
I guess the motto should be "NEVER TRUST A LIAR!"

OMG
Somebody is blaming the Dems for this war? I'd love to know who that is. Everyday something else comes out about the selective (see Scooter Libby trial) intelligence that led us into this.
I think that Bush knew what he was doing knew the reasoning wasn't that factual but thought we'd have an easier time of it. He screwed up big time. And know its the dem's fault (and Clinton too!!)
unbelievable

I think the dems that voted for it were too worried about the career than anything. It was known that the intelligence was not 100%, anyone who voted to give bush authorization should be help accountable for it.

If you want to know who is to blame all you have to do is look in the mirror. that go's for all of us. the important lesson to learn from all this, is that we don't really have a choice. I'll say that again we don't really have a choice. politicians give us the illusion of choice. but people like yourself are starting to wake up to the fact that politicians on both sides are self serving and no longer serve the people. people who still think along party lines are a dying breed they just don't know it yet.

They voted for the war before they voted against it because the poles, dictated by the Liberal media said that is what the people wanted. Liberals always do what the poles say, in hopes of continuing their hoax on America.

I thought they voted to support Bush against Saddam to let the weapon inspectors back in. Am I wrong? Then Bush became a dictator after the fact.
They won't stop the war due to the widening yellow streak appearing on their back.
