...Over the past few months, I have noticed many people posting comments with regards to being ignored by the customer service team, when they respond to violation emails (specifically regarding unwarranted attacks by other users, who use the violate option as a weapon with which to bully). Yahoo have stated that they recognise this phenomena, yet I have yet to see any real positive action with regards to this bullying tactic employed by petty minded individuals who target specific users of the site.
I would be interested to read responses, positive and negative, in regard to Yahoo!Answers customer service in this respect.

Maybe we will get lucky and have a response from a member of the Yahoo staff who will, perchance, read the responses from the users (posted here) and take action to address the problem, by contacting disgruntled Yahoo fans individually, and be proactive with regards to customer care!...

I personally will not be giving thumbs up or down in response to your answers, but would be interested to see how other users respond...

I've tried communicating with Yahoo on many occasions and I have come to the following conclusion.
They're not interested and will not respond to anyone unless it (a) looks profitable and or (b) proves to be a serious liability.
They don't follow the biz model that Toyota must follow in order to keep and maintain customers....
So, Yahoo is unfortunately a perfect example of a company that is totally bereft of any interest in it's viewing or user community ....they're only interest is in it's paying advertisers....which is precisely true of network television.....when you think about it network TV is the biz model for Yahoo and it's ilk.....
So, please don't be naive about this stuff.....you'd get plenty of interest from Yahoo if you were say, " Lower My Bills" and were willing to pay Yahoo for a spot on their front page.....until then , join the crowd of disgruntled users that feel that yelling at their television gives them the same possibility for results as writing Yahoo....
Sad but true.

double edged sword. can't get rid of the abuse feature, but it does open up for those here just to cause trouble. what is the policy? does yahoo auto-ban, or do they actually look at the post? i would think that as long as they look at the post, it does not matter if it gets reported. probably the best way to reduce it is to ban someone if they report a certain number of posts that are not abuse (may bee some allowance for borderline reports.... not against policy, but still a little abusive.) you will never stop these kinds of tactics, but that will at least make it harder for them.

The link to the forum you gave in another question of yours leads to some scary stuff. Some people have seen their primary Y! mail account deleted. You could say it's stupid to even use your actual Y! account on this site if you depend on it in any way.. But who would have thought months ago that getting it suspended would be quite this easy?

I'm going home, hoping to still be here when I get back ;o)

Of course it's a problem, and it's getting worse! I got a violation for saying I liked fried pies. I contested it and got no response. I pisssed someone off one day and they moled me, went to my list and slammed me with a bunch of unjustified violations. I can't even defend myself. I answered a question one day, and the asker didn't agree with my answer and violated me. What can we do?
