I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby. We are having a little boy and at our 19 week ultrasound he measured at 20 weeks. Since this is my first I'm not sure what to expect but I feel like my belly should be bigger. Any thoughts?

Everyone's belly is different and every baby is different. With my first, I was able to wear my normal clothes until 5mths when I started to feel a little fat and annoyed that my clothes didn't fit anymore but maternity clothes were too big. Right up til the end, people said I was not very big but my baby was perfect size at 6lb 14oz. With my fourth, I was bigger earlier on but felt smaller than my third at the end even though my 4th was my biggest baby at 9lb 15oz.

Not necessarily. I am also 22 weeks with a boy. (At a 20 week ultrasound he measured 21 weeks) However this is my 4th child. I no I'm not that big, especially it being a 4th pregnancy. I had my son at 18 and I didnt get very big with him either. However with my 2 daughters I was huge!

Your stature can depend on how big you get as well. I am 5'3 and prepregnancy 112-115 lbs. Now I am almost 130.

I can't explain it cuz I'm not a doctor but my theory is that with girls I gained more and obviously with my boys I dont get very big. And all my children were 7 lbs give or take an ounce or two.

Then again, we still have 4 more months to go. Good Luck to you!

Yes. Stop looking for something to be wrong. Enjoy your pregnancy, it is your last free days. Once the baby comes you will never again be able to go out when you want or do what you want, without making arrangments and thinking of his needs first. As far as being big or small is not the issue, your baby at this point to very tiny and the weight you have gained or not gained is the water and fluids that the baby is growing in. Keep the cocobutter rubbed on your skin because it is just a matter of time for the stretch marks to begin. Good luck.

Don't worry about the size of your belly. Depending on how your baby decides to lay, your belly will change. Also, as long as the doctors have gathered from the ultrasound that your baby is doing well, as it sounds like it is, then you should have no worries. Besides, most womandon't start getting that pregnancy belly until their 3rd trimester. This happened for my wife and I.

Relax! You will show in time. Some women get huge, others barely show. My first one, I was huge. Second one fairly normal. Third one, most people didn't know I was pregnant until after baby was born. As long as baby is at the right size is all that counts! Don't overeat. Eat when you need to and try to eat healthy. Have something sweet if you crave it but don't go overboard. Use your common sense and you'll do fine! Congrats!

Well, I was measuring smaller than normal throughout my whole pregnancy, they even sent me for a second ultrasound couple weeks before due date just to make sure the baby was developing fine and he was. A big surprise was when he finally arrived. He was 9lbs 3.6 ounces! No one expected him to be so big! Please don't worry, your baby is perfect!

You are fine. Be glad that you are not huge yet.. lol. If everything is measuring right on the u/s.. don't stress. Some women will not start to really show til they are 8 months along. Good luck and congrats!

I am very small to begin with and have only had one child. I was almost 8 months pregnant before customers at work noticed. Every one carries differently but if you are concerned then talk to your doctor.
