They suck & have never had any class so why expect it now. They won their grammy's out of pity, nothing else. Their albums sales, charts success did not succeed anyone elses in the categories they were in. I hope this means they are gone for good at least now.

Is country and western music supposed to represent conservative beliefs or morals? There are plenty of c&w stars in rehab and cheating on their spouses, do their fans leave them? No, but oh my God- speak out about the worst president in history and you'll lose that "moral majority" - If their fans were so fickle as to stop listening to their music simply because the dixie chicks used their 1st amendment rights then they probably didn't like their music all that much in the first place but they should also put their morals and ethics where their mouths are and stop listening to the music of those artists who have had affairs, took drugs, drink too much, don't go to church or did anything else they feel doesn't reflect their personal belief system. If your liking a certain type of music depends on what that persons political views are then its not about the music and youre the one thats tacky.

I think the Chicks were hurt by how quickly some of their country fans turned their backs on them back in 2003 and they haven't quite gotten over it.

yes it was it truly shows that they have no class . and alot of their fans did not like the way they trashed a fellow artist by the name of Toby Keith and i happen to very much like his music . He does not do alot of trash talk either like they do . I love toby and he will still be going strong when they are through and done . I dont buy anything they record or sell because they are too political for my taste . good luck .

Totally. It's too bad to because they are very talented. I use to be a fan but find myself slipping away from even be able to just listen to the music and not about who is singing it.

Oh, yeah. I think that they don't have a specific genre now because the country stations wouldn't play their music so now they're kinda in limbo.

Maybe they were simply referring to the fact more then CW fans like them. They have r & r fans & gospel fans. I don't listen to their music but I know they appeal to more then just CW fans.

Whats your problem exactly? What are they supposed to do?
No, they have not turned their backs on anyone. I'll buy anything they'll record.
