"stuck like a booger on a wall", he loves to say it to aggravate me but he won't tell me what cartoon show it's from because he thinks I will stop him from watching it. My husband just shrugs and states boys find humor in grossness at his age and beyond. Anyone have this same problem?

You have entered the gross age for kids. I have a 9 and 10 year old, and they both think body functions are hilarious. I put up with it for a while, but it does get annoying. Sometimes you just have to tell them to stop. My guess on that line BTW, is "Billy and Mandy", which can be pretty gross.

My daugher quotes Patrick from the Spongebob movie "Did you see my butt?". (BTW: Best Day Ever song is from the same movie!) Kids find humor in the weirdest things. Since he is 7, he is just getting a charge in agrivating you. It will pass. I worked in child care for 15 years before I had my daughter. Trust me. I na few months he will have moved on to something else that will probably be just as weird and gross. Just make sure he knows not to say things in public!! I have taught my daughter that there is "at home" humor and "public" humor. I just explained to her that other people might not find somethings funny. I always tell her when she first comes up with something just so I don't have to try and "keep a list"! Good luck! Wait until he finds humor in bodily functions!

He will outgrow it when he is like 50 or so. But for right now I am afraid you are stuck with it - - - like a booger on the wall. I still have 9 more years til I outgrow it.

Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Cartoon Network, from the "vs The Martians" episode.

Now if you *really* want to be a cool mom, don't let on that you know ;)

I work with kids and I get "the best day ever" song every day!! It may be from Ed, Edd and Eddy. They are a group of nasty kids that think everything gross is funny. I will doublechck when the kids get here after school.

You answered yourself! He does it because you react to it. Stop reacting to it. Then, he will get bored with it and find something else to annoy you. This is the life of a mother with boys! Get used to it and choose your battles with him wisely! Is is worth the battle? is the question you need to ask. Is it important to his health or others? I am a mother of 3 boys and 2 girls. My youngest, a son, is now 18 years old. I have survived. I learned to pick my battles. It takes time, but you'll get there!

Remember, you're the Adult, he's the child - Block ALL cartoon shows from your TV. If he complains, whip his butt. And do not tell your husband the "block code", if he thinks this behavior is funny, then he may benefit from this too. Besides, check under the driver seat of your car - that's probably where you'll find your husband's boogers.
