I thought it was outrageous too. I think the moral decay in our country is reflected in this case; it's hasn't added to it...it's been there for years.

I think the idea is to help someone who essentially had a mental breakdown. The restaurant and the community have long-standing ties with Nowak, and many people are more sympathetic than angry. She did commit a crime, true, but she doesn't come across as a criminal mind on the order of, say, Charles Manson. In other words, they have some hope of redemption for her. With all the self-proclaimed Christians around here, you'd think more people would understand that concept.

Why is it that we glorify that which is not right? I know that someone is innocent until proven guilty. I believe that in several types of cases the media has convicted and sentenced people that end up completely innocent and ruin their lives. Doing something like this at this point in time seems a little too much overboard. The dinner should wait until the court dates have passed and a verdict has been rendered.

well, for one thing she hasnt been found guilty yet and we dont know the full story. From what ive heard in the media they are playing mental breakdown for all they are worth. If true, at least she wont go to jail, but her career is rightly over we dont need whackos flying mulitbillion dollar shuttles around.
