The term AIDA in that order is there for reason.

Let's use a simple example: Customer looking for a washing machine in appliance store.

First A is when the product attracts the attention of the customer in order to have a look at it.
The I is when the sales person or whoever see the opportunity to makes that sale and inform the customer more about the product.
The D is when the sales person start convincing the customer that there is the need for the appliance and the salesperson might compare the particular product positively to other similar manufacturers and even offer a small discount on the price.
The last A is when the salesperson ask the customer if they want to buy the product since there was enough interest.
If there was little interest the salesman would've seen it and not gone through the whole process.

Hope it helps!

As another stated Consumer Behavior has no math. It is all about the psychology of the consumer and how to get them more in the mood to buy. Very heavy in theory. Marketing Research was my favorite. When I took it, it was heavy in math. Lots of statistics. In fact, Statistics 1&2 were required. All in all though, not a whole lot of math in marketing. If you are good with theory than Marketing is a great choice.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess it's advertising or promotional programs.
